If you spend a lot of time typing, either for business or pleasure, do yourself a favor and get some speech recognition software and a wireless headset. With this combo, you can cut your keyboarding time in half (or even more if you're a slow typist).
How does it work? You simply speak into the Bluetooth-connected earpiece-microphone, and the words are quickly typed onto your open page on the computer.
Here I demonstrated this process:
As you can see below, the software only made one small mistake, despite the dictation of (and correct transcription of) numerous big and complex words.
I have found the industry-leading Dragon speech recognition software to be highly accurate in transcribing my words. And the Plantronics wireless earpiece has such good range that I can dictate back to my desktop while walking from one end of my house to the other (or while starting dinner).
Just make sure to mute the mic before you starting yelling at the kids. ;)

Bluetooth Headset
This comfortable wireless earpiece serves as your microphone as you dictate into the Dragon software for transcription. You can also answer either your landline or cellphone "hands free" with it. (Your landline phone must have Bluetooth for this function. A good reason to upgrade your phones anyway.)
Lastly, you can issue commands through it to direct your PC or tablet for various functions.
I love mine and feel it is the perfect accompaniment to my Dragon speech recognition software.
